I let my kittens go home at 8 weeks of age.  At that time, they are
using the litter box regularly, eating solid foods, and have free run of
our home.  Our kittens are highly socialized!  Many people are afraid
the transition from birth home to forever home is traumatic on the
kitten, thus they keep them until up to 12 weeks of age.

My personal experience tells me that it is better for a properly
socialized kitten to go on to their forever homes at an earlier age so
that they adjust EASIER.  We love our kittens, and I believe I have a
strong bond with them, but we want their forever bond to be with
YOU, not with us!

Every breeder has to make this choice based on their own feelings,
and we feel that this age is perfectly safe for your kitten - after all,
we'd never put any of our kittens in jeopardy!

why?
